THE 7 PROPHECIES OF WILLIAM BRANHAM

One Sunday morning in June, 1933. The Lord Jesus spoke to me and said that the coming of the Lord was drawing nigh, but that before He came, seven major events would transpire. I wrote them all down and that morning I gave forth the revelation of the Lord.

The first vision was that Mussolini would invade Ethiopia and that nation would "fall at his steps". That vision surely did cause some repercussions, and some were very angry when I said it and would not believe it. But it happened that way. He just walked in there with his modern arms and took over. The natives didn't have a chance. But the vision also said that Mussolini would come to a horrible end with his own people turning on him. That came to pass just exactly as it was said.

The second vision foretold that an Austrian by the name of Adolph Hitler would rise up as dictator over Germany, and that he would draw the world into war. It showed the Siegfried line and how our troops would have a terrible time to overcome it. Then it showed that Hitler would come to a mysterious end.

The third vision was in the realm of world politics for it showed me that there would be three great ISMS, Facism, Nazism, Communism, but that the first two would be swallowed up into the third. The voice admonished, "WATCH RUSSIA, WATCH RUSSIA. Keep your eye on the King of the North."

The fourth vision showed the great advances in science that would come after the second world war. It was headed up in the vision of a plastic bubble-topped car that was running down beautiful highways under remote control so that people appeared seated in this car without a steering wheel and they were playing some sort of a game to amuse themselves.

The fifth vision had to do with the moral problem of our age, centering mostly around women. God showed me that women began to be out of their place with the granting of the vote. Then they cut off their hair, which signified that they were no longer under the authority of a man but insisted on either equal rights, or in most cases, more than equal rights. She adopted men's clothing and went into a state of undress, until the last picture I saw was a woman naked except for a little fig leaf type apron. With this vision I saw the terrible perversion and moral plight of the whole world.

Then in the sixth vision there arose up in America a most beautiful, but cruel woman. She held the people in her complete power. I believed that this was the rise of the Roman Catholic Church, though I knew it could possibly be a vision of some woman rising in great power in America due to a popular vote by women.

The last and seventh vision was wherein I heard a most terrible explosion. As I turned to look I saw nothing but debris, craters, and smoke all over the land of America

Jesus is Coming, Yet People Yawn and Not Yearn

I recognize we’re an apathetic generation that loves to be entertained rather than think real serious thoughts. At least some feel that way. But there is one form of apathy I don’t get and that is the fact that people are yawning over the return of the King of kings and not yearning for it.

This is the greatest news on earth. Titus calls it our “blessed hope.” The Lord will put an end to all sorrow, sighing, tears, disasters, broken relationships, and more.

The apathy factor has grown since 9/11. America was torn for a few months and then many forgot because it wasn’t in their neighborhood. People went back to sleep while the evil doers in this country continue their plotting.

The tsunami of late 2004 shook some folks up when they saw the carnage and Hurricane Katrina did the same—for a while. But memories are short when it comes to bad news and apathy returned. But why the apathy to the good news that the King is coming? The world is starving for good, uplifting news. It doesn’t make the nightly news because to them only bad news counts! Christians have the best news on earth, and at the top of the list is that God has an end-time plan, and evil will be vanquished with the return of the Lord.

Then I realized that Jesus would return in the generation that wasn’t thinking about it! He says, “…be ready for in such an hour as you think not, the Son of man cometh” (Matt. 24:44). Our Lord said he would intentionally choose a time frame when many believers were indifferent and not waiting and watching.

I have concluded that we are the “think not” generation. As a matter of fact, if the Lord returned today He just might find some churches pretty cozy with a sinful world and some of them majoring in minors when it comes to even preparing people for eternity. The new “seeker-sensitive” church movement doesn’t want anybody to be uncomfortable and the message of Bible prophecy is labeled “doom and gloom.” What is “doom and gloom” about focusing on the eternal Home Jesus has prepared for His believing church? Yet church after church has tossed this wonderful, uplifting theme which is also the major theme of the Bible from beginning to the end.

If believers can get ecstatic about a sports event, why not about the return of the Lord? It doesn’t matter what view of eschatology one holds. Some believe in a Rapture and some in only the Second Coming. Either way, we need to be yearning and not yawning. Jesus rebuked the Jewish spiritual leaders of His day in Matthew 16 for not knowing the signs of the times or recognizing His first coming. I believe He is equally displeased that spiritual leaders and Christians today give little thought to His coming again. Jesus enthusiastically engaged His disciples in a discussion of His return in Matthew 24 – 25. From that I conclude that we can be assured that the quest for an understanding of His return is a worthy pursuit.

Very recently I had 4,000 in attendance at my “Evidences for the End Times” conference with Hal Lindsey. By a show of hands, none, not one, had a church that was preaching the Lord’s return. What a tragedy when the world today needs hope, and Jesus is that “blessed hope.” Focusing on His return can get our eyes off the woes of this world, out of a state of depression, and into a state of expectancy!

This world is not our home. God has prepared a glorious place for us. Life is short this side of Heaven. Sinners are lost and need to know this good news.

It grieves me, but I wonder what God thinks about this? I believe He is yearning for us to join Him in His Heavenly Kingdom, yet many of His followers seem to care less, or at the very least, put no emphasis on this in their thinking or theology.

What will it take to wake them up? What will it take to shake our pulpits up? A national tragedy? I pray it is not so.

Rabbi Kook, first Chief Rabbi of Israel, had written that the steps leading up to the final redemption (of the Jewish people, and of the world) would follow the order of a special (and ancient) prayer called the Shemoneh Esrei (or Eighteen) --- referring to the Eighteen Benedictions listed therein. This prayer is spoken 3 times every day by observant Jews worldwide. 

  

The 10th Benediction is called the “Ingathering of the Exiles” which had begun with secular Zionists in the late 1800’s (by Theodore Hertzl and some Christian Zionists encouraging him) and which led to the immigration of hundreds of Jews to what was then Southern Syria (Ottoman Empire) in preparation for the formation of the State of Israel.

  

Christian Zionists are still involved to this very day in helping us fulfill these prophecies. And there is still much more yet to be done, where the Sanhedrin’s role will be crucial to our Nation’s success, and to the events leading up to the Final Redemption.

 

Ingathering of Exiles.

One of the things that must happen next is the facilitation of the ingathering of a special class of Jews --- they are the Crypto Jews. People descended from the forced converts of Spain and Portugal, who then led lives as secret Jews to hide from the Inquisition. This lasted for about 350 of the almost 500 years since Jews were exiled from Spain and had been forcibly converted in Portugal, and they represent the most difficult part of the ingathering from the West.

 

Restoration of Justice.

This deals with the restored Great Sanhedrin itself, the 71 member highest and oldest religious court in the world. Sub committees of this 71 member body will be established to deal with areas of special concern (such as conversions to B’nai Noah and the return to Judaism of vast numbers of Crypto Jews). These are called a Sanhedrin Katan (or a small Sanhedrin). We need this Great Sanhedrin to sanction a special “process of return” (that already has enjoyed some limited success in the USA & Israel) … to do what’s called “setting the captives free” --- which will be truly an act of restored justice.

 

Against Heretics.

This benediction is seen as being a prophecy against all the enemies of the Jewish people (including some who call themselves Jews, but are not). But most notably today against the Islamic Jihadists who are intent on the destruction of the Jewish people (worldwide) and of the State of Israel in particular. They are “heretics” against their own religion of Islam, which teaches that Jihad is “inner struggle”, to serve G-d properly; and that war (violent conflict) is only warranted if the Moslems are being oppressed and not allowed to observe their religion (which is NOT the case today). And true Islam teaches that the land of Israel belongs to Bani Yisrael (according to the Quran). The Sanhedrin’s role in this matter is absolutely clear, to declare that it is time for ALL Jews to come home to the LAND of Israel, because “global jihad” will continue to make Israel the “safest place” for Jews to live (and to prepare for our role in what will come next).

  

On the Righteous

This benediction talks about G-d blessing all the righteous, not only those among the House of Israel, but also among the Nations of the world. Part of it reads “give goodly reward to all who sincerely believe in Your Name.” One of our hopes from the Great Sanhedrin is that they will re-institute someday the ancient laws of the Geyr Toshav (resident alien) so that those Gentiles loyal to the Nation of Israel (and to the Torah for non-Jews, which are the 7 Noahide Laws) will be able to immigrate to Israel as “citizens” of this country. There is a massive B’nai Noah movement growing all around the world, (see as one example http://www.ephraimreturns.com/), and many of them want to live in Israel as the restored geyrim toshavim and to be taught Torah by Jews who are fulfilling their G-d given task of being a “light to the nations”. (see Daniel 12:3)

  

Rebuilding Jerusalem

This benediction speaks about “may You (G-d) speedily establish the throne of David within it.” There is a lot of work for the Sanhedrin in re-establishing all kinds of Torah laws (regarding the way we did things prior to our exile) about Jerusalem as THE city of the House of the L-rd (the Tabernacle/Temple), for the Lord’s feasts and festivals, and in preparation for the Davidic Reign.

  

Davidic Reign

This benediction speaks about the coming of our King Messiah. The Great Sanhedrin also has MUCH work to do to in preparing Israel to accept her Messiah, according the Jewish understanding and to the Torah that was given to Moses at Mt Sinai.

  

Temple Service

Along with preparing the city of Jerusalem as THE place to hold G-d’s House (and the Reign of our King Messiah) the Sanhedrin will be involved in getting the Priests and the Levites prepared for their restored role in the Temple Service. This might actually be the re-establishment of a restored Tabernacle of Moses, uncovered from its hiding place of approximately 2500 years ago. Most of all this can be worked on concurrently, in stages!  What an exciting time to be alive!

Why write a Blog?

You may ask, “why write a commentary?

The primary reason is that I am a Pastor who is very aware of the times in which we live. If we, who see the signs Jesus spoke of regarding His second coming don’t speak up, who will?

So many church leaders are simply afraid to speak the truth anymore and the biggest reason is because they are sleep and have become fearful of offending people, instead of offending God.

So, I have taken a stand to preach the gospel and tell the truth as I see and understand it.

As a child, one of my hobbies was to put puzzles together. I would open the box and find all of the “edge pieces” first and began.

God has given us a end time puzzle and told us when all the pieces come together then the end was near. This puzzle was too officially  begin in 1948, The year Israel became a nation again. Since then, there has been piece after piece put together. We are almost finished. The last pieces are Iran, Russia, China Syria and a few other smaller pieces.

As I was these remaining pieces take their place and complete the picture there is only one thing that needs to be said by Jesus...and that is;
